When I got out of the car I could rub the paint off with my finger, but I could tell the other driver was uncomfortable with me touching his car so I stopped. Damage is: (my car) my number plate fell off and very slight bumper bar damage; (his car) back bumper damage, back boot doesn't close properly. My car is insured completely, but how do I give him my insurance details? Do I just say the company that I'm with or something? Or I call my insurance up and get a number? Also will I have any financial repercussions from this, or does the insurance pay the lot for me and the victim? Will my rating be damaged and have to pay more for insurance? I am late 30s, single, no children,not going to have children. I have home equity to cover any outstanding bills. I got the policy as a life/retirement/disability policy combo. I became disabled. I am still paying $100/for the life insurance. Metlife guaranteed cash value $2100 reduced paid up insurance $12500 if I cancel now do I get the cash value? what is reduced paid up insurance mean? i want an opinion from someone other than metlife before I contact them. the life insurance value is 110k if i keep the insurance it looks like I get back my investment plus $5000 when I am 65 if I live to 98, i get the full life insurance amount. The disability policy is only 5 years. I am currently 10,000 in debt as a result of months without income until I got SSDI and metlife disability..and having to pay a lot of credit card interest--just to stay in my 3 room run down apartment... I can put that $2100 toward the debt and pay less interest....and also stop paying the $100/month premium and put that toward the debt too...that's another $1200/year.. is this how it works...if i cancel do I get the $2100 now... or is it better to stick with the insurance....

Insurance company denies the damages?

my car has been involved in an rear end crash and the insurance company of the other party denies some of the damages , that are actually done because of the accident. the auto body shop gave me an estimate of 4 to 5 000 $ . my car doesnot cost that much . the insurance company is offering only 633 $ and disagrees with me to total the car . there was no damage prior to the accident made to the car on the rear end side. they argue that the other car that hit me does not have even a dent then how come my car have this much damages. i know that my car did not had n e damage on the rear before the accidednt. based on the automobile source they think that the actual cash value of the car is 1900 , and they have didcted all other damges , that are not because of an accident. please guide me what i should do in this case.

My husband was hit by another driver a few days ago. The other driver was at-fault and our state is an At-Fault state. The other driver has insurance. Our insurance policy has been lapsed for under 30 days. We were planning on obtaining insurance in 2 days. There is a chance the car may be totaled and it is financed with GAP. I believe that I read that GAP will not cover in the case of no insurance coverage. Does anyone know where we stand here?
